Farrah Fawcett hair, monochromatic looks, bell bottom power suits, and wrap dresses may be trends made popular in the 70s but they are just as relevant today.  Each season we tend to see a few similarities to 1970s fashion but now more than before we are reviving all of the best trends from my personal favorite fashion decade.

Many well known designers rose to fame during this time such as Karl Lagerfeld, Diane Von Furstenburg, Yves Saint Laurent, and Vivienne Westwood.  Making their mark on fashion by introducing styles we still wear today.

While I personally would love to look like I walked straight out of the 70s I have come to realize this is not everyone’s preference.  For those of you who would prefer to take a more subtle approach to this fashion trend I am sharing 3 simple ways below.

Bell Bottoms

From corduroys to jeans and all the materials in between, these wide leg trousers are back and more flattering than ever.

Neck Scarves

Simplistic yet ensemble transforming.  The addition of a neck scarves not only gives an ode to the 70s fashion we love but can add an extra layer to an otherwise simple look.

Wrap Dress

I have discussed in length the benefits of a wrap dress prior.  But whether you enjoy them for their “trendy” allure, comfortability, or style there is no denying how perfect they can be for any occasion.

Bonus:

Platform Shoes and Socks

A little more on the adventurous side, but equally as 70s and quite a fun way to switch up your personal style.

I am sharing a Pinterest Board filled with amazing 70s inspiration here to help you find more ways to bring back the best fashion decade today. And linked below are some personal favorite pieces to shop (mostly from Kate Spade, it is a new obsession).
