“If you like something. Rock it.”

– Post Malone

At 25 years old I finally attended my first real concert. I have never been someone that is into music, typically I know the popular songs of the moment or play (on repeat) songs that were popular when I was in high school but that is it.  Until about a year and a half ago I never found an artist that I was overly obsessed with to the point I actually cared to see them in concert.

Insert Post Malone and his Beerbongs & Bentleys album in early 2018 I instantly was in love.  I am pretty sure I played that album on repeat for the rest of 2018.  Eventually I started to look up tour dates and noticed he was going to be at Bonnaroo in 2019, a festival not far from Huntsville.  Unfortunately I did not feel I was the festival kind of girl and spending hundreds of dollars for a festival in which I knew one artist didn’t seem practical.

Around mid July 2019 Post Malone announced the Runaway Tour and to say the Madison Square Garden date intrigued me would be a strong understatement.  So I took the plunge, spent all the money and decided Jmo and I were going to New York to see Post Malone in concert.  Best decision ever.

Honestly it was one of my favorite experiences.  Not only was it my first concert, it was at Madison Square Garden and I knew all the songs which was something super important to me.  I never wanted to attend a concert unless I was certain I would enjoy every minute.  The atmosphere at MSG was amazing and Post Malone put on a show that I will never forget.  My entire camera roll is filled with concert videos that I have already rewatched multiple times at this point.

Now, let’s discuss the outfit.  Truthfully, I was way overdressed for a Post Malone concert as most were in what I have now dubbed the “concert outfit” which includes dark denim, a designer belt, and a black (tight) top.  While I am sure the “concert outfit” was more comfortable than my dress and heels I kind of love that I went overboard for my first concert.  Would I recommend my outfit for future concert attendees, probably not but I did love it.

Who wants to take me to another Post Malone concert? Because Jmo already said I need to at least wait until the next tour…
