Simple Street Style

Style runs rampant in city streets and over the past few years we have heard terms such as “street style” and “model off duty” which have started to describe looks that we see frequently in the city.

When it comes to street style the idea is to wear your “everyday” clothing pieces but with a slight twist.  Typically a more fashion forward look.  The goal is to look effortless.  Personally I find street style relatively easy to accomplish and I am here to share my tips.

Tops

Depending on the weather I recommend going with a graphic t-shirt or a simple sweater.  If this piece can be designer then you are already slaying the game.

Bottoms

Skirts are my personal favorite and black is a solid choice, easy and it matches everything.  Although any colored *flow-y skirt will do. If skirts are not your preference or the weather is too chilly I would go with high-waisted black denim (distressed or not).

Shoes

Probably the most important accessory when it comes to street style.  Typically they are a comfortable option.  The “ugly sneaker” trend works perfectly here if that is something you have been looking to try.  But, say that trend is not your vibe, then a heeled boot is the ideal option.

I have put together a Pinterest Board (link here) that includes some of my favorite Street Style and Model Off Duty looks in case you are looking for a little more inspiration.

Who is your favorite Street Style inspiration?
