My hair has been so many different lengths and colors in my life but what has stayed consistent (at least over the past few years) is my hair care routine.
So here is a little insight into how I care for my hair. Before I get started, to give you some hair background. I have naturally wavy hair, so it is a little on the dry side. I also have been coloring my hair for 6 years every 4-8 weeks. I have colored my hair everything from black to blonde, so I have definitely put it through a lot. But here is how I take care of it.
In the Shower: I always use a professional grade shampoo and conditioner. I feel that has helped my hair stay in the best shape possible. I have been using the Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Moisturizing Lather Shampoo and the Drybar Shake Bomb Nourishing Conditioner to wash and condition. And recently I purchased a Purple Shampoo in order to help keep my hair very cool toned in between colors.
Out of the Shower: It is EXTREMELY important to use a heat protection product. I use the Paul Mitchell Ultimate Color Repair Triple Rescue and on occasion I will use an oil on the ends since they have the most damage. The one that I have been liking is the Drybar 100 Proof Treatment Oil.
In Between Washes: Dry shampoo is my absolute best friend when it comes to making my hair last several days. I usually wash my hair twice a week so in order to keep my roots looking grease-free I use the Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo. I have tried a million different dry shampoos from several different brands and this has been the one to work and smell the best!
I do not try new hair styles very often but I kept seeing these adorable ponytail holders from J Crew so I decided I needed to give them a try. I am not sure why but it gives me major French Girl Vibes, maybe that is crazy but there is just something about a small bow that I just really love.
Also, huge shoutout to Selena for helping me model these adorable ponytail holders!
