Technically summer may not begin until the middle of June but the trends are starting to shape the streets and we can not get enough.  From 60s inspired sunglasses to biker shorts and bermudas, this summer we will be experiencing a little bit of everything.

While I love an unexpected trend I tend to choose pieces that will stay with me through the years instead of a simple season.  With that being said, I am sharing a few of my favorite summer trends that I will take me through this lovely season and more.

Fun & Flirty Dresses

The fun and flirty dress without the floral print.  Although my love for florals runs deep it can be a breath of fresh hair to choose pastels instead of prints for our summer dresses.

Thin Strapped Sandals

There is something sexy about a strappy sandal.  Whether you are dressing up your summer sundresses or heading on a date night, thin strapped sandals can always be the option.

Straw Handbags

Summer handbags are shaping our streets and while many think these gorgeous straw bags are only to be worn a couple months out of the year, I disagree.  Vacations and warm weather span for almost 6 months out of the year (where I live) so the usefulness of a straw clutch, tote, or bag is endless.

60s Inspired Sunglasses

Bringing back looks from decades past is one of my all time guilty pleasures.  I always say that I was born during the wrong time because 60s and 70s fashion is purely magical.  With Summer getting started quickly I will be sporting 60s inspired white sunnies for the remainder of the warm months.

Mixing Prints

I am a sucker for anything unexpected.  Unexpected pairings are my favorite and there is nothing more fun that mixing prints.  Stripes and florals are always a great option when Summer rolls through but in reality mixing prints is easy, just take a look in your closet and you will be surprised what you may find.

The summer heat can be harsh but I always feel better when I am wearing my favorite pieces.  Whether you are attending garden parties, weddings, showers, or beach vacations these are simple and easy trends that will have you looking your best.

XO
