An Unexpected Pairing

Over the years as our style develops we sometimes fall into fashion patterns.  Constantly wearing jeans, similar colors, specific styles of dresses, and even the same pieces with the exact same accessories.

While there is nothing wrong with outfit repeating there is a simple way to switch it up and make the ensemble look and feel new.  Think unexpected.  Whether in color, texture, or pattern combination try incorporating pieces that may not traditionally pair together.

Personally, I love unexpected texture and style pairings.  Look for your favorite silk/satin dress and pair the equally fun straw bag.  Not your typical pairing as one does not always think to mix straw with satin, but I would say it pairs magically.  You are simply mixing casual (straw) with dressy (silk/satin), making the whole look completely different.

An equally exciting option is pairing colors that fall within the same color family such as pink + orange, pink + red, turquoise + navy, white + ivory, the options are endless.

Whatever your unexpected pairing may be, wear it with confidence and no one will question.
