We all have people that inspire us to be better than we were yesterday. Sometimes those people are real and other times they are fictional. For me, I find a lot of inspiration from fictional characters, like Carrie Bradshaw, Blair Waldorf, Anastasia Steele… But my current favorite inspiration is Sutton Brady. Sutton Brady is on The Bold Type and if you have yet to watch The Bold Type I highly recommend getting on Hulu and binge watching now.
A little background…Sutton is a fashion assistant at Scarlet magazine, she is really starting from the bottom. It is fun watching her work so hard in order to accomplish her goals. I am writing this a couple weeks before you will actually read this but I just finished a very monumental episode and all it made me want to do was sit at my computer and pursue my dreams. If you have seen the episode you probably know what I’m talking about. Edit: Now that season 2 in over I’m not sure how I am going to make it until season 3 comes out in Spring 2019!
Now enough about my favorite show and lets start talking Sutton’s fashion. She works at a Women’s magazine in the fashion department which means she is constantly running around working but still needs to look up to date on the latest fashion. Typically she is rocking jeans and a statement top. I have found a few pictures on Pinterest of some of my favorite Sutton outfits, click here to see them.
I decided for my statement top I would rock this Finders top from Elitaire with a simple pair of ABLE denim and a statement shoe. My very best interpretation of a Sutton Brady look. I think I nailed it, what do you think?
