As I think about those who inspire me, one of the first women that comes to mind is Audrey. Classic, humble, spunky, and always in style I find her to be an icon in more ways than one. I may not look to recreate her exact style but I am always looking to recreate the thoughts she had on style.
We all love a good trend but incorporating a trend into our own style can be a challenge. I may be falling for gingham this fall but I have chosen to bring it into my wardrobe in a way that speaks to my personal style. Trousers are some of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe. I am always on the lookout for a pair that flatters, as dressing for your body is the best fashion rule you can ever learn. My new gingham trousers are no exception. Paired with a sweater for the cooler weather, I look forward to bringing this into fall.
By introducing gingham through an item that screams my personal style I am able to wear the trend in a way that makes sense for me. You could say I am taking what Audrey has taught us all and sticking to my own style but simply adding a flair to change it up, just slightly.

If you are looking for a good read I highly recommend Living Like Audrey: Life Lessons from the Fairest Lady of All by Victoria Loustalot. It is a must read. A less than 200 page little book filled with quotes, photos, and all things Audrey.
